Oak Island Splash Pad at Middleton Park

The Town of Oak Island invites the young and young at heart to this water activity featuring spraying water and other activities perfect for the smallest members of your family. Oak Island Splash Pad is the perfect way to cool down on a hot summer afternoon.

This community recreation feature was built, in part, thanks to the NC Parks and Recreation Trust Fund Grant. The Oak Island Parks & Recreation Department is thrilled to see this project completed. The Oak Island Splash Pad is a water activity that features spraying water and water features for families to enjoy

Rentals are available for the Oak Island Splash Pad from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and are broken into two 1-hour sessions. Participants can elect to reserve the Oak Island Splash Pad for both sessions. For details, or to book your rental, stop by Oak Island Town Hall, or call (910) 201-8015.

Enjoy Southport NC from a new perspective with a sailing charter on the S/V Kelly Allen. Sit back and sip on your favorite cocktail while taking in a sunset and all of the surrounding beauty. Sailing is available year-round, conditions permitting. Kelly Allen's motto is "We can't direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails."

The Kelly Allen is a 37-foot O'Day center cockpit sloop, which can comfortably accommodate six passengers. Built-in 1980 for sailing instruction, she made her way to Southport in 1996 and has been sailing charters ever since. Trips make berth from the Old Yacht Basin in Southport. Cruises depart between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. and return around sunset. Weekday morning sail times and afternoons are available upon request. The cruises typically last about two hours. Complimentary beverages are served and you may bring snacks aboard and additional beverages.
