Streaming Radio Station

How to Listen

Website - Visit Cape Fear Radio's website and click the "Listen Now" link to open the live music player.
Smart speakers - Simply ask your smart speaker like Alexa or Google Nest to "enable Cape Fear Radio" and then just instruct it to "play Cape Fear Radio".
Cape Fear application - Visit the Apple or Google Play app store and search for the Cape Fear Radio app. Download the free app and access it at any time. If you have the application downloaded, you should also be able to listen to it in your car over Bluetooth or through a cable connection.

With a wide variety of programming, Cape Fear Radio will broadcast 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. For long-time residents and our vacationers, Cape Fear Radio will be another valuable source of information, and they'll entertain you in the process!

Home of the Associated Artists of Southport

The Franklin Square Gallery is in the heart of the art scene in historic Southport, North Carolina, a rewarding and wonderful place to visit. With over one hundred artists displaying their paintings and pottery, you are sure to find the art you are searching for.

Local

The member artists come from throughout southeastern North Carolina, from Wilmington to Pinehurst, and even to Myrtle Beach, bringing with them many different styles and techniques. The Associated Artists of Southport started the gallery in the seventies with only twelve members, in the former Southport school house and town hall. Over the years talented artists from the area discovered the site and made it their home.

A Showcase for Talent

Artists with diverse backgrounds and a wide range of styles have their work on display. There are paintings in oil, acrylic, and watercolor depicting local scenes or European villages. The 2-D art is also available in prints, notecards, and miniatures. The potters come from many local studios, bringing functional pieces like bowls, platters, and vases, and also purely decorative and unique ceramic art. Gift items include jewelry, small dishes, napkin rings, and one-of-a-kind mugs.

Everything is better down by the beach, and that includes baseball! The Brunswick Surfin' Turfs is a collegiate wood bat baseball team in the Old North State league. With all games played at Founders Field on the campus of Brunswick Community College in nearby Bolivia, North Carolina - heading out to see a game during your vacation is a great option for the whole family!

Turf's Up

The Surfin' Turfs get their name from the classic coastal dish, the Surf N' Turf, which you can find at almost every restaurant in the southeast! The perfect mix of land and sea. And, the Surfin' Turfs' mascot, Stew, is a surfing cow to represent the name.
