Cool Runnings Charters
Cool Runnings, and Captain Greer Hughes, provide their Oak Island fishing boat and blanket NC fishing license. Captain Hughes is an Oak Island and Southport native and has fished our areas for over 20 years. Whether you are a seasoned fisherman or a beginner, it does not matter. Children are welcome and invited to catch their very first fish with this very patient and willing teacher!
Top catches typically include king mackerel, Spanish mackerel, spade, bluefish, ladyfish, cobia, black drum, red drum, speckled trout, gray trout, flounder, and tarpon. Cool running provides a blanket NC fishing license, rods and reels, bait, and ice. Bring your own hat, sunscreen, camera, sunglasses, lunch or snack, and drinks.
