It doesn't get much better than this! Southern Cross is a gorgeous, oceanfront four bedroom home in the quiet West Beach end of the island. Both living areas has a spacious, open floor plan and is tastefully decorated. For large families or groups, there is plenty of seating and there is even a media room that makes a great kids get-away. For adults there are two wet bars that can be used for entertaining or just extra storage space for drinks and food.

Overall

3 time staying at this house. Great location on west end. 2 issues, no hose or water access for hosing down beach chairs, cars ect. under the house. Also loose board on one of the steps going down the outside back stairs.

Overall

This was our 5th year at Oak Island and this is by far the nicest house we stayed at. The location is amazing and the way it's laid out is super nice and perfect with young kids. We made a few suggestions via email that would make this house even better. My biggest negative was that the house to the left of this one sticks out pretty far and you really don't get any views to the left. While I was disappointed at first, this quickly went away as I was able to enjoy everything else this house has to offer. The outdoor shower was an asset. The beach is SUPER wide here. Many times we had nobody within 100+ yards in any directions. Will stay here again.
